Where this sits in the debate

- [Will AI destroy more jobs than it creates?](https://aifaultline.com/debate/jobs/)

Direction of the finding as read from the abstract by an AI model ([AI-written](https://aifaultline.com/about/)).

## Key takeaway [AI-written](https://aifaultline.com/about/)

A preliminary mathematical model of how AI-accelerated automation interacts with growth of the working-age population, used to estimate the time a theoretical economy would take to reach a social-crisis threshold of structural unemployment.

## Abstract

This document presents a preliminary mathematical framework to evaluate the interaction between Artificial Intelligence (AI) accelerated automation and demographic growth trends within the active population. The objective is to determine the critical time (t_crit) it would take for a theoretical economy to reach a social crisis threshold due to structural unemployment generated by the mismatch between labor supply and demand.
